Owing to American Hydrofoil's exclusive patented Vertical Dampening ride stabilization technology, pleasure boating has taken on a new meaning with the HydroSport.  Instead of boaters being subjected to the pounding effects of the sea, our exclusive mechanical dampening technology absorbs the bumps and pounding often associated with rough seas, and large swells.
    

Excitement Redefined
American Hydrofoil’s patented Surface Skimming Vertically Dampened watercraft are designed to provide a level of ride comfort never before attained in production boating.  Our exclusive coil and shock dampening system not only eliminates a pounding ride, and the associated discomfort, but also provides boaters with a new standard in safety at higher speeds owing to the technology's exclusive non-ramping characteristics.  Traditional mono-hulls tend to "ramp" over waves when traveling at higher speeds, which may cause pounding.  American Hydrofoil’s exclusive design prevents this pounding discomfort.

In standard mode, our hydrofoils operate on the surface, then transition to a subsurface mode when encountering waves and large surface ripples.  These dynamic characteristics combine to provide safety (owing to enhanced stability) and ride comfort (owing to our exclusive Vertical Dampening technology).  In addition to ride comfort and enhanced high-speed safety, American Hydrofoil technology provides unmatched fuel economy in connection with dramatically lower horsepower requirements.

Surface Skimming
With American Hydrofoil's Surface Skimming technology, ride comfort and high-speed safety are now a reality.  Less drag on contact surfaces translates into faster more fuel efficient boating.  Add to this Dynamic Wave Piercing . . . and high-speed safety becomes a standard feature on all models.

As our hydrofoils move in a forward motion over the surface of the water, there is a considerable reduction in contact between the surface of the boat and the water when compared to a traditional mono-hull watercraft.

Additionally, this reduction in contact surface area greatly reduces the forces acting on the engine, nearly producing an effortless load, while improving the available horsepower by nearly 120%.

This means less fuel consumption per mile of boating, and longer engine life . . . not to mention more exciting, and safer boating in a HydroSport high performance watercraft.
